Bronze Cow

An exquisite and rare bronze of a cow by renowned 19th century sculptor Isadore Bonheur. This model was exhibited at the Salon in 1872 and was possibly made as a pair to the bull by Rosa Bonheur. A fine and well detailed cast with brown/dark brown patination and in excellent original condition. Illustrated page 205 ' Les Animaliers' .
