This superb image is taken from the chalk drawing which was the sketch for the original oil painting of 1880 . The model was Jane Morris, shown seated on the bough of a sycamore tree. She is holding a stem of Honeysuckle, a token of love in the Victorian era. Perhaps one of the most beautiful of all the Pre-Raphaelite portraits.
